Testimonials

"Black Working Mothers really helped in my time of need at work. I was working on a temp contract and fell pregnant. I wasn't too sure on my rights but Black Working Mothers broke down the law in such a way I could understand. I felt better equipped in understanding my rights and entitlements  as a pregnant agency worker."

"Irene has been an absolute pleasure to speak to and supported me incredibly during a very difficult situation. I approached her after finding Black Working Mothers on Instagram to help with concerns about my redundancy situation following my return from maternity leave. She listened, supported and guided me on my situation and referred me to further specialist support that I needed. I have a safe space now where I can go to with any employment concerns as a working mum of black heritage."

"Black Working Mothers provided guidance to my Business on how to recruit and retain diverse mid to senior staff. Some of the strategies that has worked for us included reaching out to specific agencies that recruited ethnic groups in addition to flexible working considerations."

"I had extreme anxieties about returning back to work...I reached out to BWM and they provided authentic support to me. I really felt like they cared about my situation. They helped me to understand my rights on returning to work and other wellbeing support. I am so grateful to have found this network."
